Protein Quantification with PICO>

Detect and quantify proteins from biological samples with PICO.
Read our publication in PLOS One Read our publication in Scientific Reports App note - HER2 quantificationProtein analysis and quantification is crucial for understanding the biological processes in the human body, as proteins play a fundamental role in various functions, including tissue building, metabolism regulation, and immune response. Absolute quantification, which measures the exact amount of a protein in a sample, is vital for accurate comparison between different samples and for detecting even small changes in protein levels, especially in disease biomarkers. Therefore, protein analysis with absolute quantification is a critical tool in research and clinical settings.

Absolute quantification of HER2 (ErbB2) with PICO
In this Scientific Reports paper (Gross & Hundertmark et al. 2015) we performed reference-free absolute quantification of Her2 (ErbB2) both in vitro, using recombinant HER2, and in vivo using human cell lines. The results showed a very high correlation with the BCA assay as well with ELISA measurements. Consequently, PICO demonstrates precise quantification and an LOD ~10 fM. Read the publication here.
Publication - Confirmation of RANKL knockout with PICO
In this PLOS One paper (Gross et al. 2021) we confirmed the CRISPR/Cas9 mediated knockout of RANKL in mesenchymal stem cell clones with PICO. The precise quantitative power of PICO allowed the distinction between homozygous and heterozygous knock-outs from as little as 1,000 cells. Read the publication here.
Please note: In this paper PICO was called Emulsion Coupling (EMUC).
