Post-Translational Modification Analysis

Detect and quantify post-translational modifications from biological samples with PICO

App note: 4EBP1 phosphorylation quantification

Post-translational modifications (PTMs) are essential for regulating protein function, stability, and localization, thereby influencing biological pathways and cellular signaling. Understanding the diverse array of PTMs and their regulation is crucial for unraveling complex signaling pathways and developing targeted therapeutic interventions. PICO can support our ability to study PTMs in a comprehensive manner, providing novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular signaling and disease pathogenesis.

App note - PTM Quantification with PICO

In this application note we detected and quantified 4EBP1 and its phosphorylated form using PICO technology. Using Absolute Quantification, we could show that upon treatment of BT474 or MCF7 cells with the kinase inhibitor Dactolisib, the phosphorylation of 4EBP1 is decreased ~200 fold.
